The Playbook Exterior Operations program consists of the following training (all training programs are NFPA compliant):

  • Safety & Communications
  • PPE and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
  • Ropes and Knots
  • Fire Streams, Hose and Appliances
  • Ventilation
  • Water Supply
  • Ladders
  • Rehabilitation Area (REHAB)
  • Introduction to Basic Fire Behavior and Building Construction

The training topics listed above are recognized by the College of the Rockies. Provincial Fire and Safety Training Ltd works closely with the College of the Rockies delivering Exterior and Interior Operations Firefighter NFPA compliant training programs.

Provincial Fire and Safety provides and delivers fire and safety instruction and training which meets or exceeds NFPA, WorksafeBC and B.C. Playbook standards and requirements. Course Cognitive testing and practical psychomotor Evaluations are administered through the College of the Rockies, a ProBoard accredited program provider.  

 

Working Towards OFC Playbook compliance?

In addition to the training topics listed above, Provincial Fire and Safety can deliver the following programs as fire departments work towards OFC Playbook compliance.

  • Dangerous Goods or Hazmat Awareness (from NFPA 472)
  • Incident Command System 100
  • Emergency Scene Traffic Control
