Friday, November 13: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, November 14: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday, November 15: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday, November 20: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, November 21: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday, November 22: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Attendance is required for all 3 weekends and all scheduled hours.
Please ensure you are available for the entire course from November 6–22 before registering.
This course includes the BC Scope of Practice Update, providing participants with the additional information and training required to meet current provincial requirements.

Patient assessment and emergency response
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Airway management and respiratory emergencies
Hemorrhage control and tourniquet use
Trauma and musculoskeletal injuries
Shock and circulatory emergencies
Acute and chronic medical conditions
Environmental emergencies
Pregnancy, labour and delivery
Multiple-casualty incidents
Practical skills and scenario-based training
BC Scope of Practice Update
Prerequisites: None
Certification: 3-year Canadian Red Cross First Responder certification upon successful completion
Participants must attend 100% of the course, successfully demonstrate required skills, achieve a minimum 75% on the written evaluation, and successfully complete medical and trauma scenarios.
