This comprehensive, nationally recognized course provides participants with the confidence and skills to respond to emergencies in the workplace, at home, or in the community. Through a mix of interactive instruction and hands-on training, you’ll learn how to recognize and manage airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies, treat wounds, and handle sudden medical and environmental emergencies.

Duration:
CPR C: 7 hours in-class + 8 hours online learning
Introduction to the Canadian Red Cross
Preparing to respond and the EMS system
Check, Call, Care approach
Airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies
First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
Wound care and bleeding control
Head, neck, and spinal injuries
Bone, muscle, and joint injuries
Sudden medical emergencies
Environmental illnesses and poisoning
Additional topics as required by provincial legislation
Demonstrate all required skills and critical steps
Minimum 75% on the written knowledge evaluation
Attend and participate in 100% of the course
Earn a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, issued digitally by the Canadian Red Cross.
